IN PROCESS, The Vaults, Stroud, 2025
In 2019, I travelled to Staffordshire Record Office for the first time to unpack the contents of three brown paper packages relating to my great-great-aunt, Joan Margaret Legge. IN PROCESS uncovers the life of this intrepid traveller and amateur botanist, whose tragic death in the Himalayas in 1939 continues to reverberate more than eighty years later.
Throughout October 2025, The Vaults at Lower Cemetery Lodge in Stroud invited visitors to engage with a multidisciplinary body of work that pieces together one of many stories of remarkable women overlooked or forgotten by history. The exhibition was intimate and quiet; the works themselves fragile and ongoing. It continues in the new exhibition Conversations Across Time in mid-June 2026.
